Shana K. Wortham Intermediate School in McKinney, Texas, opened to just under 900 fifth and sixth graders. The three-story building comprises 142,640 square feet, and is designed for a capacity of 1,050 students.

The Fine Arts wing at Wortham includes a band room, choir room, orchestra room, general music room, cafetorium, and storage areas. Each rehearsal space has an attached instrument storage room outfitted with Wenger UltraStor Cabinets. A Conductor’s Chair and Preface Conductor’s Stand are also in use.

In the band room, tuba mobile storage racks are used to keep instruments stored and protected, but still within easy reach of students. 

The choir room is outfitted with Wenger Signature Choral Risers, as well as Wenger student chairs. The risers are easily moved to the cafetorium for performances. 

For the general music room, flipFORMS provide a flexible seating and performance area for students when using Orff instruments. The mobile media cabinet stores AV equipment out of site and keeps it secured.
