Musical #Influencers

It’s all about the #influencers

This set of Musical #Influencers posters includes 14 different artists that changed the world of music. These musicians were pioneers in jazz, rock and roll, hip hop, electronic music, and more. Each poster contains a picture of the album cover, a tiny chunk of music history, and a QR code linked to the song or album on Spotify. Here are a few ways you can use these posters:

  1. Print them and hang them in your classroom for students to interact with independently.
  2. Print them and insert into page protectors in a binder for a quick and easy “listening center” where a small group can interact with the content together. Have a discussion guide or journal page available to create a writing extension.
  3. Display one slide on the projector during arrival or dismissal times for students to interact with independently.
  4. Display one slide on the projector and lead a classroom discussion about the artist, song, and the impact on music history.
  5. Load as slides into Google Classroom and assign as a listening assignment. Pair with response questions for a journaling extension.

**These posters are best suited for grades 5-12, but please review song lyrics to make sure they align with your school and district requirements before you share them with students.
